Easier to handle ‘Integral Valve’ cylinders

With its new integral valve design, BOC has developed lighter, high pressure cylinders that are easier to handle and transport, moving away from the traditional steel towards 'hood-wrapped' advanced steel carbon fibre (aramid) cylinders. The new designs hold more gas than their older steel counterparts, are lighter, and incorporate a guard with a bespoke handle.

As well as safer handling, the new BOC cylinder includes a “permanently live” contents gauge which allows the gas level to be monitored at all times, whether the cylinder is turned on or not. The well guarded valve has a built-in regulator which not only facilitates quick cylinder changeover, but reduces the potential for human error. It also means that there is no longer a need to find, buy, and maintain costly regulators or flowmeters.
